Big Shame For Corbett Park Administration:-
Corbett Park is one of the most popular destinations in India. But I am ashamed to say that forest officials here are taking the aid of untrained Police Officers to kill man-eaters.And very sad to say that AK-47 is being used for killing Man Eaters. 80 rounds were fired for killing the tiger.
(((UNFORTUNATELY TIGER KILLED BY COPS WAS NOT THE MAN EATER- this has become clear after the Postmortem reports.The report says" deer's parts were also found in its stomach")))).It means they are unnecessarily killing Tigers. How could they use AK 47 for tigers,, they are not terrorists and if these untrained and unskilled so called hunters keep on shooting the wrong tigers in the chase of man eaters then i am sure the glory days of the Corbett park are not going to last long since tigers are the most crucial attraction of the place.........please raise your voice to save these beautiful creations of nature! ! Hardly 1000 left..

It is very shameful and outrageous to kill an animal like Tiger. It needs to be stopped.

I think the AK47 guns that forest rangers used should be banned and replace by non lethal guns like

Tranquilizer gun, capture gun or dart gun which shoots darts and temporarily sedate the target animal.

These types of guns are used by park rangers in australia & africa. These Guns are cheaper than AK47. Also guns making loud sound but having false bullet also could be used to frighten tigers or other animals. These guns could also be used by villagers in villages threathened by tiger attacks.



I think these options are enough to save life of animals and also man. The tiger is not a man eater, we are making him to do this by cutting down forests and ruining his home and also his food.

WTF would they kill the tiger, revenge?



Get political. They shouldn't kill tigers no matter how many people they eat. There aren't enough left! If they want to remove a man eater they should do it using a non-lethal trap and relocate it to a zoo etc but the reason they eat people is there isn't enough food or there are people coming into their habitat.



People are not less important than tigers, but tigers are not less important than people. Since people are not endangered, the Bengals should be given special consideration. Sadly, conservation is a luxury of the wealthy. So I fear you will lose your tigers, but that is not a reason to do nothing! Annoy enough politicians and hopefully they will do something...
